Tai Silk Tubeskirt with Royal Umbrella Motif
Covered in fine, multi-colored ikat/mud mee, this lovely tubeskirt features three-tiered royal umbrella motifs alternating with diamonds and surrounded by the hooked rhombs of stylized nagas. The central body is flanked by a waistband and hemband of bright red that is woven integrally and denotes its origin as Buriram, in southern Isaan. We rarely see such fine examples of these textiles. Condition is excellent.
