Dong Embroidery
Two old embroidered panels (probably hat panels) have been stitched onto a nice background of handwoven black cotton to form an attractive composite. Age and wear is apparent in the coloration and bits of embroidery pattern peeking thru the silk threads (see detail). A thin edge of woven silk with silver threads provides a nice finish on each piece. This would frame nicely.
