We’re not sure which group this is from, but find elements of Rade weaving: the single twined end, and complex warp patterning. Unlike the other skirtcloths on this page, it is a single piece, and does not comprise multiple bands sewn together. The complexity of the weaving indicates that this was probably made for ceremonial wear. The uneven coloring on the black areas suggests that perhaps these threads were dyed with natural color, tho the red and green threads are commercial. This piece has overall, even fading, probably from washing, and is in quite god condition. We see few of these.
