This
talented Balinese artist comes from a long lineage of carvers.
His preferred medium is deer antler, but he also uses fossilized
materials such as mammoth ivory. His work stands out from
the many artisans in Bali because it is imbued with a freshness
and liveliness that belies the static nature of the material.
Each piece is unique and full of detail. Recent
work has been inspired by Japanese netsuke, with its sculptural
elegance and fine details, but is much more affordable. Please
inquire if you would like a specific subject commis-sioned;
he can work from a photo or other source.
